  Yup lightwave can morph one object in to another. They must share the same
number of points..you can also perform multiple morphs on an object. surface
morph too..texture morphing, i am not sure about.

it depends what type of animation you are doing..you might not need to use a
morph..you could use a bone with an Inverse kinematic chain instead.....to
my knowledge animation is never easy..always takes alot of work to make it
look good...that's with any program.
